Restylane
Treatments
Sitemap RESTYLANEŽ and PERLANEŽ are examples of
hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to reduce the appearance of lines and
wrinkles, acne scars, and to help shape and add volume to thin lips. RESTYLANEŽ
and PERLANEŽ are essentially the same product, PERLANEŽ is simply a larger
dosage.
RESTYLANE is a natural product from Sweden. It is based on non-animal hyaluronic
acid which is used primarily to smooth out wrinkles, fill depressed areas such
as the corners of the mouth, provide fullness to areas such as prominent smile
line folds and provide lip enhancement or redefinition of the lip border thus
reducing or eliminating the small grooves responsible for "bleeding" lipstick.
It is also used to provide a fuller lip. Because hyaluronic acid is naturally
present in the body, it dissolves naturally with time, creating a smoother lip
line.
We inject RESTYLANE into the skin or lip, and the procedure
lasts about 30 minutes. The lasting effect of RESTYLANE varies from individual
to individual. The dependencies lie in many factors, such as skin type, age,
lifestyle, and personal degree of perfection sought by an individual. Studies
have shown that majority of the treated patients enjoy the effect of RESTYLANE
for more than 6 months following treatment. Most patients choose to have
touch-ups within a year of original treatment.
How is RESTYLANE different from PERLANE? The
primary difference between RESTYLANE and PERLANE is that the hyaluronic acid gel
particles in PERLANE are larger than those found in RESTYLANE. This gives
PERLANE additional ability to lift and fill the areas of injection that require
a denser formulation. PERLANE and RESTYLANE are perfect complements to one
another. Side Effects A small
percentage of patients experience swelling and bruising, which may last 5 to 7
days after treatment.

Patient Pre and Post Treatment Instructions
Below are recommendations for a few simple guidelines, both pre- and

essential fatty acids

If Laser Treatment, Chemical Peel, or any other such
procedure is considered after Restylane Therapy, the risk of eliciting an
inflammatory process may be possible. Consider such treatments 1-2 weeks
before or after Restylane Therapy.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need skin testing?
Restylane doesn't require testing as the possibility of allergy is extremely
remote.
How long does it last?
Restylane usually lasts over six months in most individuals.
What kind of wrinkles can be treated?
Common areas are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows), the nasolabial
folds (smile folds) and the wrinkles around the lips, but other sites can also
be treated.
What is treatment like?
Treatment is a very easy and quick process and can be carried out without
previous testing. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and the result is
instant.
Is it painful?
This is relative, depending on how sensitive to pain you are. The injections may
prick a little but normally no anaesthesia is needed for the treatment of
wrinkles. Lip treatment can be uncomfortable and therefore a nerve block or
similar anaesthetic is normally used, thereby ensuring comfort.
