Family medicine is the medical specialty which provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family.

It is a specialty in breadth that integrates the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system and every disease.

Henderson Family Medical serves as the patient's first point of entry into the health care system and as the continuing focal point for all needed health care services. 

Primary care practices provide patients with ready access to their own personal physician, or to an established back-up physician when the primary physician is not available.

Scope

Dr. Sheta, as a Family Medical Doctor, will perform any and all of the following: annual physical examinations, preventive health consultations, gynecologic care including pap smears, treatment of common gynecologic problems and family planning services. The practice also entails caring for  children of all ages and include examinations,  immunizations for children from newborns to adolescents.

Dr. Sheta's practice also includes care for all acute illnesses, chronic illnesses, including hypertension, asthma, diabetes, pre-employment examinations, drug screening for employers in industries mandated to maintain drug-free workplaces, medical consultation and coverage for college and university health services.
